  • Exercise Physiologists are allied health professionals, who are experts at prescribing safe and effective exercise programs for people with chronic health conditions, injuries and disabilities.

    Exercise Physiologists are experts in using exercise as medicine to develop and deliver individualised exercise-based interventions to help individuals improve their physical function, promote a healthy lifestyle and holistic wellbeing.

    Exercise Physiologists provide education, support and guidance for the individual during their treatment or rehabilitation, to promote management of their condition through a structured exercise program.

    Exercise Physiologists collaborate with the individual, their doctor and other allied health professionals, to achieve their healthcare goals.

  • Goolwa Exercise Physiology are thrilled to provide exercise physiology services to clients who receive funding from the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). We regularly work with NDIS clients to formulate a management plan and assist them in achieving their health goals. Goolwa Exercise Physiology are able to service NDIS clients who are self-managed or third-party managed. Our Exercise Physiologists can work in the Goolwa Health Co. rehabilitation gym and they also undertake home visits to allow exercise therapy to be undertaken in the home

  • Goolwa Exercise Physiology accepts DVA referrals from Doctors for those eligible for the service with eligible conditions with DVA Gold Cards and DVA White Cards. Our DVA Exercise Physiology services can be undertaken in clinic or as home visits in Goolwa, Middleton, Port Elliot, McCracken Views and Victor Harbor. Our Exercise Physiology Team has extensive experience in working with DVA clients and has a real interest in holistic veteran health. Goolwa Exercise Physiology will communicate with and work closely alongside Goolwa Physio.

  • Goolwa Exercise Physiology accepts referrals for clients that have sustained workplace injuries and are managed by a third party insurer. Goolwa Exercise Physiology work closely with Goolwa Physio to rehabilitate injuries, build capacity for a return to work and ultimately achieve a successful return to work. Rehabilitation can be undertaken in the Goolwa Health Co. onsite rehabilitation gym, in the home and hydrotherapy can also be offered if required. Communication with client’s medical team, case managers and rehabilitation coordinators are part of Goolwa Exercise Physiology’s standard care.

  • Goolwa Exercise Physiology provide treatment for individuals referred by their GP under the Enhanced Primary Care Scheme for a wide range of chronic health conditions including hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, chronic pain, and mental health. Goolwa Exercise Physiology work collaboratively with you, your Doctor and other allied health professionals to help with the management of your condition through an individualised exercise-based intervention program.

  • Goolwa Exercise Physiology can receive referrals under Home Care Packages to for individuals with a wide range of problems including frailty, reduced balance, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, chronic pain, and mental health. Goolwa Exercise Physiology work collaboratively with you, your Doctor and other allied health professionals to help with the management of your condition through an individualised exercise-based intervention program that can be undertaken as a home visit or in the Goolwa Health Co. Rehabilitation gym.

  • Diabetes is a condition that impacts the ability to regulate blood sugar levels. Regular exercise can play a vital role in the prevention and management of diabetes. Goolwa Exercise Physiology provide structured exercise-based programs and education for individuals to help prevent and manage diabetes through education and an active lifestyle.
